The New EU ESG Framework: SFDR and Taxonomy
International and European regulation in the ESG field is constantly evolving and it is essential for listed companies to be updated on the latest duties on this subject.
At the moment, at European level, there are two newly introduced regulations that are key to know:
the Taxonomy Regulation and the Financial Services Sustainability Disclosure Regulation (SFDR)
The first, approved in March 2020, is a framework that defines, through precise criteria, what is a sustainable investment.
The second, which enters into force on March 10, 2021, places disclosure obligations to financial operators on the risks associated with the sustainability side of investments.
